Do you know?

Do you know that feeling,
Rain drops falling all around
Let it start the healing,
While we take in the sound

Do you know that feeling?
When everything around is appealing.

Profane poetry!

It was a little after ten,
Someone was playing with my pen.
I was lying naked in her den,
I was sure that this is what they call zen.

As a chilly wind blew across my face;
I realised i just couldn't keep up with her pace!
I was sure this surely wasn't a race,
But I somehow knew i had to close my case.

I should've wacked myself with a broom;
I really should not have been in this room!!
I tried to tell her about my impending doom;
Before i went boom-boom-boom.

As i was finishing, i made a grab for her skirt;
And also held on to some stuff that was pert.
This was a situation I tried to avert;
But i can't help it if she were an expert:)

Silence.

The sound of a beckoning silence;
that follows at dawn's first light.
Breaking the circle of violence,
that has lost its will to fight.
Calm on the outside,seething on the inside,
like two peas in a pod.
Nowhere to run to, or hide;
Does that not strike you as odd?

It has to choose between friend and foe,
No one knows what fate has in store.
The sky above and the ground below;
There's trouble knocking at the back door.

But virtue has its own reward;
The sun always shines after the rain.
So, do not even try to give in,
For silence will stick with you through thick and thin.

amores perros:)

I can see the love in those sparkling eyes;
Those eyes many a fathom deep.
They tell me of things that can't be said,
For the eyes do the talking.
Everytime I look in them deep oceans,
I fight for some clarity of sorts.
Thoughts flow freely, like a mighty river.
Soon i'm asking myself-Is she the one?
Then a smile etches across my besieged face,
It accentuates the feelings from deep within.
The fear lifts, i see the light;
Only to realise that i've lost my sight:)

Rain

The eagle was in heedless flight
meandering about in circles.
No sense of direction i thought
I only admired it's vigor.

It's flight was quite a sight,
as it weathered the torrent of rain.
From the bench where i was rooted,
I saw a dark figure in the grey sky.

Soon the darkness grew in size
I felt that it was headed towards me.
But the rain helped me gather myself
And i exuded a coherent calmness.

The darkness and rain converged,
The eagle rested beside me.
For a moment, a difficult oneness
One i couldn't even value.

The eagle took off without a trace
And the rain reduced to a drizzle.
Is there ever a conjunt place
For heart, mind and a destiny.

The unknown soldier

He awakes to deafening gunfire
Rattled he always is.
Circumstances are often dire
What good to yearn for a kiss.
Mud water passes as soup
He gulps it down with disregard.
War has trapped him in a coop
His family has been hit hard.
The battlefield is now his home
And war is an excuse to fight.
He's never used his pocket comb
For there isn't a mirror in sight.
He crawls through the muck
To throw them grenades and kill.
Sure there is an agent called luck
But the driving force is will.
He hears the trampling of many feet
But not a man in his firing range.
He's hoping to be very discrete
In order to attack and derange.
He has been shot in the chest
A stray bullet gone astray.
But the coin in the pocket of his breast
has kept him from falling prey.
He looks into the night sky
With a new found respect for life.
Whilst another bullet pierces his thigh
And he loses out on all thats rife.
He is yet another victim of war
Once honoured and now suppressed.
The only question asked is 'what for'
His free soul is still possessed.

For he is the unknown soldier
And unknown he will forever be...

I want to, but can't.

I want to drive the winding roads of life;
The ones that lead into something rife.
I want to connect with my beaten heart;
To tame it, and to make it start.
I want to reach the highest peak;
Where one will never say I'm meek.
I want to exude love and hope;
And want to want it on a downward slope.
I want to seize both night and day;
To live great moments, if i may.
I want to hold hands with the 'one';
And feel for myself, the mythical pun.
I want to be content in this game;
This topsy-turvy World is lame.
I want to be unsettled about life and cry;
But i don't want to ask myself why.
I want to talk to my shadow in dark times;
In order to erase the kernel of untold crimes.
I want to reach for the stars;
Firstly, roust those prickling scars.
I want to be bounded by reality;
Before I'm overcome by frugality.
I want to, but can't;
I would love to, but shan't.

Random

From blue to pink, from orange to gray;
A profile on the horizon is soon to be prey.
We are dazzled by its aura and mood;
Hungry though we always are, for food!
The oblivious clouds sail past us;
They're really eager to not make a fuss.
Soon the sky will be filled with stars;
Damn the pollution from them cars!
The massive mushrooms of smog and haze;
The blanket that is, the root of this maze.
Birds are always singing in yonder;
But what for, we often ponder.
For a lost cause, one can safely say;
A price that everone has to pay!
Soon darkness is all around;
It's the only thing we've ever found.
Who'll put an end to this perm?;
Who'll stand up for us and be firm.
Who'll put an end to this cold age;
One where we're trapped in a cage.
Someday, The frozen rivers will flow;
Someday, Darkness will get its final blow.
Someday, The sun will never set;
And we'll leave God to do the rest.

P.S: I know it doesn't make sense:P

The burning bridge

The burning bridge that nothing can rebuild;
is positively a foundation on which to build!
The re-birth of this artery is acutely sought;
Although the building blocks always fought.
Praying to god won't keep it alive;
The bridge will surely fall, sans revive.
wavy and swelly, while it still may be;
salvage it not, and you'll pay the fee.
Water in its en masse, clearly a winner;
Find none and it will surely simmer.
shaping from scratch may be the last resort;
Fail again and it will unerringly wrought.
Pry out the water and save the bridge;
Else you'll be snared to a friggin ridge.
But where is the water in this barren land;
surely its not concealed deep in the sand...

P.S- I'd like to think that this is the poetic version of my previous post-reality bites:P
